Privacy policy.
What we collect when you register to work with us or enquire about staffing, what we do with it, and your rights over it.
Last updated: 19 September 2026
The short version
- We collect what you give us: your registration, or your enquiry.
- We use it to consider you for work, offer you assignments and answer enquiries.
- When we put you forward for an assignment, the client sees the relevant parts of your profile, including your photographs.
- Your photos only appear in our own marketing if you ticked the box to say they can, and you can change your mind at any time.
- We never sell your information.
Who we are
Behaviour Shift is run by Behaviour Shift Promotional Agency Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17449698). Registered office: Office 5, Shire House, Birmingham Road, Lichfield, Staffordshire, United Kingdom, WS14 9BW.
We are the controller of your personal information. That means we decide how it's used, and we're responsible for looking after it. For anything about this policy or your information, email info@behaviourshift.com.
What we collect
If you register to work with us
Everything you give us on the registration form:
- your name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, town or city, postcode and Instagram handle
- whether you have the right to work in the UK
- your experience, including any work at motorsport events or as a promotional model, and the details you choose to share
- the work you're interested in, when you're available, and whether you can travel UK-wide, stay away overnight or work abroad
- whether you hold a passport and a full UK driving licence, and whether you have your own vehicle
- your height, clothing and shoe sizes, and the languages you speak
- your photographs: a headshot, a full-length photo, and any photos of past work you choose to add
- your answers about why you'd like to join and what representing a brand means to you, and how you heard about us
- your confirmations, including that your information is accurate and that you have the legal right to undertake work in the UK
If you work with us, we also keep records of your bookings, the invoices you send, the bank details you give us for payment, and our messages about your work. We may ask to see proof of your right to work in the UK.
If you enquire about staffing
Your name, company, email address and phone number, the kind of event and what you tell us about it. The same goes for anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.
When you visit this website
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't track visitors. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attack, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
If you start the registration form, your answers (not your photos) are saved in your own browser as you go, so you can come back and finish later. They stay on your device until you send the form, and are deleted when you send it, when you press “Start again”, or after two weeks.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
The law says we need a lawful basis for each use of your information. These are ours:
- Considering your registration, matching you to assignments and contacting you about work. Basis: taking steps you've asked for before we enter into a contract with you, and carrying out that contract once you're booked.
- Keeping your photographs and profile on file, so we know our team and can offer the right people for each event. Basis: our legitimate interest in running the agency. You confirm this when you tick the box agreeing to us storing them.
- Sharing parts of your profile with clients when we consider you for an assignment. Basis: steps towards a contract, and our legitimate interests. See who we share it with.
- Using your photographs in our marketing, on our website, social media and other promotional materials. Basis: your consent, given only if you ticked the optional box. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Answering enquiries and working with clients. Basis: our legitimate interests, and steps towards a contract.
- Keeping financial records. Basis: our legal obligations, for example to HMRC.
Your photographs
We ask for photos so clients can see who they're booking and how you present for brand work. Registration photos go to clients only as part of your profile, when we're considering you for an assignment. They're never used publicly unless you gave us permission with the optional marketing box.
If you withdraw that permission, we won't use your photos in anything new, and we'll take them down from our website and social media. We don't use photographs to identify people by facial recognition, or to draw conclusions about things like health, ethnicity or religion.
What we don't ask for
We don't ask for sensitive information such as your health, ethnicity or religion, so please leave it out of your answers. If you tell us about a disability or anything else you need support with, we'll use it only to support you, and only with your agreement.
Outside the UK
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, it's protected by UK adequacy regulations, or by contracts approved by the Information Commissioner.
How long we keep it
- Your registration: while you're registered with us. If we haven't worked together or heard from you in two years, we'll ask whether you want to stay registered, and delete your details if not.
- A registration we don't take forward: six months, then we delete it.
- Booking, invoice and payment records: six years, as the law requires for company financial records.
- Enquiries: two years from our last contact, unless we go on to work together.
- Photos you've let us use in marketing: until you withdraw your permission.
You can ask us to delete your details at any time, and we'll confirm when it's done.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to how we use it, including sharing your profile with clients
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example to us using your photos in marketing
We don't make decisions about you by automated means alone. To use any of these rights, email info@behaviourshift.com. It's free, and we'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Under 18s
You must be 18 or over to register. If we find we've been sent details by someone under 18, we'll delete them.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle information changes, we'll update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
